Well, what a fabulous day. After regretting not taking a launch into the wave last evening, today made up for it in spades. You wouldn't think a place named Dry Falls would be very interesting would you? But it is a spectacular 3-mile wide 1000ft cliff that once was the largest waterfall in the world, when a prehistoric great lake broke its banks and discharged into Washington, carving out enormous gorges as it went.
The day itself was great, 9000ft bases and spectacular terrain. Ephrata rocks! Here's a shot of the Grand Coolee Dam, and the Chelan Valley (Chelan is one of the meccas of Hang Gliding).
